How review-first works for AI drafts, automations, and anything patient-facing.

ChairNav is review-first by design. Anything that affects a patient — a message, a recall outreach, a claim packet narrative — is created as a draft for a real person to approve.

What requires approval

  • AI message replies and patient-facing drafts.
  • Recall outreach drafts.
  • Claim packet narratives before submission to a payer.
  • Insurance benefit summaries before they are shared with a patient.
  • Treatment explainers before they are emailed or printed.

Automation defaults

New automation rules default to requires_staff_approval = true. For triggers tagged urgent or clinical, approval cannot be turned off.
