Dentrix Ascend
ChairNav can read schedule IDs, patient contact information, appointment status, and insurance status from Dentrix Ascend, then write confirmed/cancelled appointment updates and patient note annotations back to the limited Schedule and Patient Contact modules.

ChairNav supports EagleSoft through a local middleware connector that reads patient records and insurance plans and can write schedule updates.

CSV / SFTP fallback
Daily CSV/SFTP import keeps schedule and patient workflow data moving when direct API or local connector access is unavailable.
Open Dental is not currently a live ChairNav integration.

Authority boundary
ChairNav may alert, sort appointment priorities, and run insurance checks automatically. Patient-facing communications, insurance claim submissions, and diagnostic updates always require human approval.
Escalation
Conflicting patient data triggers a Review Required flag and notifies the Practice Manager by push notification.
